Plan your removal

Start with the insulation type and how the space is reached.

Tell us where the insulation is, its known type and condition, and whether it is already exposed. Share existing photos and any material reports, along with hatch dimensions, ceiling height or other access details you already have. Do not enter an unsafe space or disturb unknown insulation to get a quote. We confirm suitable material, removal limits and hauling before scheduling. Wall or ceiling opening, utility disconnection and replacement insulation are separate from this service.

What to discuss with DrouCo

  • Known insulation type, condition and any existing assessment
  • Exposed wall, ceiling or attic areas proposed for removal
  • Batt, roll or loose-fill material identified for scope review
  • Access openings, available working space and carrying route
  • Agreed non-hazardous material removal and hauling

Share your town, photos and preferred timing. We’ll confirm the scope and availability for your job.

Insulation Removal questions

Do you remove every type of insulation?

No. Send the known material type and location so we can confirm whether the job is suitable. Different forms and access conditions require different removal plans. This page does not promise spray-foam removal, pipe or boiler insulation removal, or hazardous-material handling.

Can DrouCo remove vermiculite or suspected asbestos insulation?

No. Vermiculite, asbestos-containing insulation and suspect hazardous materials are excluded. Leave unknown or suspect material undisturbed and have it assessed by an appropriate asbestos professional. DrouCo's removal service is not asbestos testing, abatement or hazardous-waste transport.

What if the insulation is wet, moldy or contaminated by pests?

Describe the condition before booking and share any assessment already completed. Mold remediation, pest cleanup, biohazard handling and repairs to leaks or building damage are not included. Contamination or an unresolved hazard can make a job unsuitable for this service and needs specialist attention first.

What affects the insulation-removal estimate?

Material type, area, depth or volume, condition and access affect the work. An attic hatch, confined working space or long carrying route can change the scope. Tell us whether the insulation is exposed or still behind finishes; opening those surfaces is separate work that must be agreed.

Does removal include installing new insulation?

No. The agreed service is removal and hauling of accepted non-hazardous material. Replacement insulation, air sealing, ventilation changes and repairs are separate. Any affected electrical, plumbing or gas must be disconnected by qualified trades before work begins.
