Plan your removal

Make a removal list for the whole bathroom.

Send room photos and identify the vanity, fixtures, shower or tub, wall finishes and flooring you want removed. Mark anything staying, including nearby trim, doors and hall flooring. We agree on the removal limits, material suitability, access and hauling. Electrical, plumbing and any gas must be disconnected by qualified trades. Structural changes, asbestos or other hazardous materials, plumbing work and rebuilding are not included.

What to discuss with DrouCo

  • Agreed vanities, cabinets and disconnected fixtures
  • Tub or shower components reviewed for material and access
  • Selected wall finishes and bathroom flooring
  • Non-load-bearing partitions only when confirmed and agreed
  • Stairs, narrow doorways and demolition-debris hauling

Share your town, photos and preferred timing. We’ll confirm the scope and availability for your job.

Bathroom Demolition questions

Can you remove only part of a bathroom?

Yes. Identify the fixtures and surfaces to remove and everything that must remain. A vanity-only removal differs from a larger bathroom strip-out. We confirm the boundaries and explain what may be left exposed for your renovation contractor.

Do you disconnect toilets, sinks, tubs or electrical fixtures?

No. Qualified trades must complete the affected plumbing, electrical and gas disconnections before demolition. Pipe capping, wiring changes, relocation and reconnection belong to those trades. DrouCo removes the agreed components after the required preparation is complete.

What affects the cost of bathroom demolition?

Room size, the fixtures being removed, tile or other finish layers and debris weight affect the estimate. Tub material, stairs, narrow doorways and the route to parking can also change the work. Send full-room photos and your removal list so the estimate covers the same scope as your renovation plan.

What if older flooring, wall materials or hidden damage are found?

Asbestos, lead-containing materials and other hazardous materials are excluded, and suspect material needs appropriate assessment before disturbance. If unexpected material or damage changes the agreed scope, that area needs review before work continues. Mold remediation, leak repairs and structural repair are separate services.

Is the bathroom ready for installation when demolition is finished?

DrouCo's scope is the agreed removal and hauling. Your renovation contractor handles any additional substrate preparation, repairs, waterproofing, plumbing, electrical work and installation. Discuss the desired stopping point with both teams before scheduling the removal.
